Our multi-disciplinary team approach is central to our success
Nurses, midwives, and legal professionals with extensive experience across a wide range of clinical specialties form the foundation of our business. We are fully equipped to prioritise urgent cases promptly and efficiently whenever required.
Our dedicated midwifery team specialises in analysing medical records for birth injury claims, providing thorough and reliable support for complex cases.
With unrivalled expertise and the ability to scale, we deliver tailored, high-quality medico-legal services to meet the unique needs of every client.
Vetting cases can be time-consuming, costly and reduce solicitor capacity by diverting time and attention away from their cases.
MLS will vet out leads that are unlikely to succeed or progress, giving your senior lawyers more time to advance cases, while junior lawyers gain experience with more complex and technical work.
Our in-house nursing and legal team will ‘triage’ and assess the leads. They will provide a detailed recommendation of whether to proceed or reject the claim based on the claimant summary of events and your business vetting criteria.

Collecting medical records can be a costly and time-consuming process.
Our in-house team of medical records specialists work directly with healthcare providers to obtain complete sets of all relevant medical records for your case. This includes medical notes, diagnostic reports, radiology and any other relevant documentation.
We provide both medical records and radiology in a secure digital format, ensuring information is easy to access, review and share where required.
The team will keep you fully informed throughout the process and quickly identify any missing records. We have established relationships with many record providers and will proactively chase any outstanding or incomplete information to minimise delays. To provide additional value and flexibility for our customers, we operate a dedicated high-priority team, split by regions, to deliver an enhanced service where urgency or complexity requires it. This ensures faster turnaround times, tailored support and a responsive service aligned to your needs
All records are delivered securely in digital format and undergo comprehensive GDPR compliance checks, supported by AI technology, to reduce the risk of data breaches and ensure efficient, accurate and secure delivery.
We offer a bespoke, comprehensive pagination service delivered by experienced nursing professionals.
We will organise medical records both chronologically and categorically, enabling your team and medical experts to quickly locate key documents for a case. This approach allows for easier and more efficient review of medical record bundles.
Our pagination services include chronology, indexing, sorting, date-ranged pagination and radiology.
We can paginate medical records as part of our medical records collection service or as a bespoke, stand-alone solution tailored to your specific needs.
Chronology
We prepare a thorough and detailed chronology of case issues, tailored to your specific instructions. All relevant medical events are carefully identified and presented as a cross-referenced, chronological timeline, ensuring a clear and structured overview of the claimant’s medical history.
Our chronologies typically include relevant GP visits, hospital and outpatient clinic appointments, inpatient admissions and treating clinicians’ comments regarding the cause of the injury.
Indexing
Our index will be tailored to your case and will direct you to the location, category and pages relevant to the case.
Sorting
All records we receive are organised both chronologically and by source – such as GP practices, hospitals, and other healthcare providers. Within each source, records are further sorted into specific categories relevant to the case, including correspondence, clinical notes, investigations, and more.
Date-ranged pagination
As well as full pagination, we offer date-ranged pagination and light pagination services which involve relevant records being extracted from the records provided to form a smaller bundle of pertinent records that are sorted and paginated. Each page is given a unique number, making the records easier to work with and navigate.
Radiology
We digitise all radiology records – including X-ray films, MRI scans, and CT scans – typically supplied on CD, making them easily accessible for direct download by you or your medical experts, without the need for the original media.
To further assist, we provide a detailed Schedule of Radiology, listing all items we consider relevant to the case. This ensures your team and medical experts can quickly locate and review the necessary scans.
Opinion on merit
Our specialist nurse team provides ‘opinion on merit’ reports that assess the quality of the medical evidence and the overall strength of the case. These reports also highlight any significant medical issues or relevant history, offering clear insights to support your case and decision-making.
Birth injury expertise
We have a dedicated midwifery team that specialises in reviewing complex medical records relating to all types of birth injury cases. The team are well versed in handling traumatic obstetric and birth injury matters, offering expert insights and support for even the most complex cases.
